A manhunt has since been launched for 26 year old Kyle Clifford, following the attack that took place in Ashlyn Close Tuesday evening (9 July). Armed police are said to have searched a home in Rendlesham Road, Enfield, on Wednesday morning as the hunt continued. The public have been warned not to approach Clifford, who is believed to be armed. In a press conference on Wednesday, Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson from Hertfordshire Police told reporters the deaths are believed to be “targeted”. He said: “Kyle, if you’re seeing or hearing this, please make contact with the police.” Detective Superintendent Rob Hall from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “This is an incredibly difficult incident for the victims’ family and we would ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with what has happened.”
The racing community have shared messages of support and condolence for John
“Whilst we are still in the early stages of this investigation, we are actively seeking Kyle Clifford who we believe could be in the areas of Hertfordshire or North London. “Given the serious nature of the incident, I would ask anyone who knows where he is to contact police immediately. If you believe you see him, please do not approach him and dial 999 straight away. He may still be in possession of a weapon.” ITV racing broadcaster Matt Chapman has posted an emotional message after the tragic news on X, formerly known as Twitter. “No words needed for what has happened to @HuntyCaller and family today. Impossible to comprehend the pain. Just know we are all here for you John. We love you pal – racing loves you,” he penned. Racing writer Simon Nott responded to the post: “Perfectly put Matt. Just arrived at Kempton, absolutely devastated at the news. Impossible to imagine.” “John Hunt was, is, and always will be one of the best broadcasting professionals I have ever had the honour of working with, and one of the nicest members of the human race. My heart bleeds for him. This is simply shattering,” wrote broadcaster Mike Vince. Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
