More infoJoin us on WhatsApp Craig Revel Horwood has thrown shade at former Strictly co-stars James and Ola Jordan, alleging they’ve got their eyes on his role as a judge on the hit show. The fiery exchange follows after earlier this year, when Ola suggested the judging lineup could use a revamp. Craig clapped back during an interview on This Morning. Chatting with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about his more restrained commentary these days, Craig explained that he’s become more mindful of his words. “As soon as you start giving critique, you do have to think – are they going to take it personally?”

However, he cheekily added that he’s not planning on changing, and took a swipe at James and Ola: “James and Ola Jordan just want my job. Good luck to them darling because I’m not going anywhere!”. Ola, who previously starred as a professional dancer on Strictly, called for Craig to be given the boot from the judging panel during last year’s anniversary series, calling him ‘nicey nicey’ and lacking in his usual spark. Furthermore, she claimed the judges should spice things up and refresh their image to keep engaging viewers. Speaking to Mecca Bingo, Ola expressed her views on Craig’s current demeanour: “I feel like Craig’s lost his sparkle. People loved Craig for what he was before. He would say it as it is, saying he wasn’t good, that was rubbish, but it’s almost like he’s got to say a positive now”, reports the Mirror.

She went on to suggest that perhaps the show is steering clear of any negativity. Craig fired back with a biting reaction on X, as he wrote: “Former Strictly pro Ola Jordan says ‘nicey nicey’ Craig Revel Horwood replaced with ‘spicier’ judge.” He then went on to sarcastically suggest: “Maybe you’d like to suggest your wonderful husband Ola?” James quickly replied, inquiring whether he would be considered a “good honest judge.” Capping off the exchange, he noted, “I don’t suppose you read the part where she said you were her favourite judge – big love my friend,” accompanied by a red heart emoji. The outspoken judge hinted this isn’t the end of his comments on the subject – while chatting with This Morning’s Ben and Cat, he revealed he’s ready to spill all sorts of backstage Strictly goss during his upcoming tour. Fans can expect Craig to hit the road later this year to celebrate the launch of his first album REVELATIONS.
