Privacy NoticeCoronation Street star Cait Fitton has starred in some of the soap’s most gripping storylines since she joined the Weatherfield cobbles as character Lauren Bolton back in 2022. She is the troubled daughter of Reece Bolton, who had joined a far right extremist group. The youngster suddenly disappeared earlier this year and as a result Roy Cropper found himself arrested and charged as the number one suspect in her case. However, in May it was confirmed that it was Joel Deering who was behind Lauren’s disappearance – not Roy. A flashback clip revealed to the solicitor as being Lauren’s secret ‘boyfriend’ and saw him brutally attack her with a chair leg.

But now Lauren’s back and along with Max Turner, she’s set to become a suspect in Joel Deering’s murder case next week. The Weatherfield teenagers face scrutiny over their shifty behaviour following the news that Joel’s body has been found. Joel recently went missing after failing to appear in court to answer for his crimes. Elsewhere, there’s better news for Lauren when doctors inform her that her baby son Frankie is finally doing well enough to be discharged from hospital next month. Later in the week, there’s a potential clue to Joel’s murder when Lauren is questioned on how she mysteriously slept on the sofa at No.8 a few weeks ago…

However, off screen Cait leads a very different life. She loves to get glam and head out with friends and family, plus she has a hidden talent: she’s also a great singer. While she keeps her love life private, she has a very close relationship with a co-star. The 22 year old, who is originally from Middleton, Greater Manchester, previously wowed her followers online after posting a clip of her singing a rendition of Ben E. King’s Stand By Me. Cait is best known for her acting abilities, with her role in Corrie coming after appearances in Doctors and CBeebies show Gigglebiz – buther pitch-perfect rendition of the iconic tune is enough to shock fans.

She captioned the singing post, writing: “I feel beyond privileged to say my professional showreel has been filmed by @olibogroup and I am mega excited to share it with you guys!” As much as she loves her music, it would appear that acting in Corrie has always been one of Cait’s biggest dreams and she previously opened up about how it was a childhood goal of hers. Cait also regularly keeps her followers on social media up to date with behind the scenes snaps from life on the soap, and counts Paddy Bever, who plays Max on the show, as one of her best friends, alongside Julia Goulding, who she said “took me under her wing”.

She said of her beloved Coronation Street family: “Everyone’s just been so nice. It’s been amazing. Everyone’s been so kind.” During one recent Q&A on her social media page, one of her followers asked: “Are you good friends with Alison King?” referring to the Carla Connor actress, and Cait replied: “What a woman she is.” She shared a picture of the pair with co-stars Liam McCheyne and Paddy, alongside the caption: “She’s my off-screen mummy.”

Cait was also asked by a fan: “Do you hang out with other Corrie actors/actresses even if you don’t film with them?” She replied and revealed an insight into one of her close relationships with a co-star. She shared a sweet black and white snap of herself posing with Liam and revealed that they “hang out” alongside other cast members. She replied:” Yes I hang out with a lot of them. I’ve made some incredible friends for life thanks to @coronationstreet.”
Cait even took to social media to send Paddy a special tribute on his 21st birthday last year

Cait and her co-star Max also call each other “besties.” The pair, who both star on Corrie together, are so close that they even jetted off on holiday to Tenerife together, and enjoyed a “10/10” sunshine break after attending the British Soap Awards. One eagle eyed fan questioned: “omg are you guys gf/bf in real life.” But little is known about Cait’s relationship status. However, Cait took to social media platform to send Paddy a special tribute on his 21st birthday last year. She said: “Happy 21st birthday to my absolute rock. Thank you for coming into my life and making it so much better. I love you bestie.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
