Privacy NoticeCoronation Street’s Jacob Roberts, known for his role as Christopher “Kit” Green, parted ways with his PR executive girlfriend Amy Harris earlier this year after a five-year romance. The 33 year old soap star fuelled separation speculation in June by erasing all traces of Amy from his Instagram grid, a move that Amy mirrored—seemingly confirming their split. Previously inseparable, they were the picture-perfect couple, often seen at glitzy events and cosy dinners. Their unexpected split follows Jacob’s stint on Hollyoaks as Damon Kinsella, a role he held till 2023 before being let go in a dramatic series shake-up. Since then, he’s been making waves on Coronation Street, playing a pivotal part in the mysterious Lauren Bolton disappearance and Joel’s killing storyline.

Recently, fans have become convinced that Kit may have more to do with Joel’s death than meets the eye, with scenes featuring DS Swain (Vicky Myers) and Kit leading fans to believe they might be implicated, with one of them possibly being Joel’s killer. Taking to social media, a fan theorised: “I’m going full Dee dee style detective with this and I need a life but when Kit and Swain are in Joel’s flat they’re clearly discussing/making sure they have a believable story and are leaving no evidence behind in their cover-up.” Another viewer suggested: “Rewatched the scenes, when Swain said “Betsy’s involvement changed everything” – she has so killed him/ accidentally killed him.”

When he joined the soap, Jacob gushed about his new role, saying: “It’s absolutely amazing… when I walked on set for the first time it felt a bit overwhelming because the attention to detail is just incredible, it actually makes you feel that you are on a real street.” He also shared: “My mum and dad are really chuffed too which is lovely. My mum has always watched Coronation Street, I’ve always kept up to date with it too, so it just feels surreal to be here. Meeting all of the cast and crew was great, I really do feel at home here.” Delving into his character’s complexities, he added: “I’m looking forward to everyone meeting Kit but I do think he is going to be a very misunderstood character at first. He’s been really hurt throughout his life and although he has a good heart, he has some deep-rooted resentment with his biological mum, Bernie, which will be really interesting to play out.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
