Since then, Jacob has been embroiled in controversy on the cobbles of Coronation Street, getting caught up in the mysterious disappearance of Lauren Bolton and the scandal surrounding Joel’s death. Lately, whispers among Corrie aficionados suggest Kit might be deeper into the mire concerning Joel’s murder than it initially seemed, especially considering his tense interactions with DS Swain (portrayed by Vicky Myers), hinting at a dark conspiracy. One eagle-eyed fan shared their suspicions online, remarking: “I’m going full Dee dee style detective with this and I need a life but when Kit and Swain are in Joel’s flat they’re clearly discussing/making sure they have a believable story and are leaving no evidence behind in their cover-up.”, reports the Express. Another fan speculated: “Rewatched the scenes, when Swain said “Betsy’s involvement changed everything” – she has so killed him/ accidentally killed him.”

Meanwhile, Jacob, the newest cast member, gushed about his experience on set: “It’s absolutely amazing… when I walked on set for the first time it felt a bit overwhelming because the attention to detail is just incredible, it actually makes you feel that you are on a real street.” He added: “My mum and dad are really chuffed too which is lovely. My mum has always watched Coronation Street, I’ve always kept up to date with it too, so it just feels surreal to be here. Meeting all of the cast and crew was great, I really do feel at home here.” Discussing his character, Jacob revealed: “I’m looking forward to everyone meeting Kit but I do think he is going to be a very misunderstood character at first.
