Privacy NoticeActor Sushil Chudasama – who played Scooter Makuna in Coronation Street in 2005 – has revealed to fans that his wife Kimby is pregnant with their second child. The TV star shared the exciting news on his Instagram on Wednesday (July 31) with an adorable photo of their daughter Eira holding a chalkboard. It read: “Yay! I’m going to be a big sister. Autumn 2024.” Sushil and Kimby captioned the post: “18 months of our little snow bear. And a very special announcement… Bring on the next adventure…” His followers also rushed to the comment sections to congratulate the couple on their happy news, with one writing: “Congratulations you three (four!!) absolutely wonderful news.” A second posted: “This is just such wonderful news! And I can’t believe she is 18 months old, gorgeous girl.”

During his time on ITV’s cobbled streets – which was 18 years ago – Sushil was best known for his steamy affair with Corrie favourite Sarah Platt, while she was also dating Jason Grimshaw. However, his character ended up leaving the cobbles soon after an almighty argument with Sarah, who is played by Tina O’Brien.

These days, as well as being a presenter for BBC Lancashire, Sushil now works as a business development executive for a safety group, whilst occasionally returning to acting. Sushil has also appeared in a number of films in Collision in 2009 and Blue Murder in 2003. Some fans may also remember him as Hardeep in 2006 series Drop Dead Gorgeous. He first became a dad on Boxing Day 2022 when he and wife Kimby announced his little girl’s birth and her unusual name on an Instagram post. Sushil shared plenty of snaps of the little one in hospital, which included her in her crib, resting on his partner’s chest and enjoying a hold from her daddy. In the caption, Sushil wrote: “@kimbyd and I are thrilled to share the news that on Wednesday last week, on the Winter Solstice 21st December at 4.59pm our beautiful daughter was born. “Eira (pronounced Ay-rah) Roberta Evans-Chudasama.
