Privacy NoticeCoronation Street’s Dee-Dee Bailey, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, was at the centre of a major reveal on Friday night as viewers discovered her secret. Amid rumours that she might be hiding something or even secretly expecting, it now seems she may hold the key to Joel Deering’s fate. Earlier this week, Joel’s body was found, and Dee-Dee was told that her ex had been killed. A crowbar, thought to be the murder weapon causing two deadly head injuries, has thrown suspicion onto several characters. Dee-Dee was questioned in the latest episode, but fans are questioning her involvement as she was the only one who didn’t buy into the initial theory of Joel’s suicide.

Dee-Dee seemed convinced Joel was alive and well and on the run

She appeared utterly convinced that he was alive and on the run, but could this all be a cover-up? Since Joel’s disappearance, she’s been acting strangely, seeming distant and complaining of headaches, while also seen avoiding booze, according to the Mirror, reports the Express. While some viewers speculated she might be pregnant despite not having been with Joel, it’s now been revealed she’s hiding something dark about the night Joel died. In the most recent episode, she was faced with more conversations about Joel’s death, and it became too much for her. Overcome, Dee-Dee quickly left, claiming to feel ill. As the camera panned back to her flat, she was seen hyperventilating and crying, clearly wrestling with something. As her dad showed up, she complained of a headache and took some painkillers before settling down. She admitted that she knew her father Ed Bailey and uncle Ronnie Bailey were innocent after seeing them return home once their actions on the night were clarified. The brothers had chased Joel and broken into his flat, only to find he wasn’t there. It’s then suggested they returned home, but it seems someone else subsequently found him.

Dee-Dee was seen listening to Ed and crying

Dee-Dee was seen listening to Ed and crying, followed by a flashback scene. The audience saw Dee-Dee holding a crowbar and approaching a car, before lifting it in the air. With a menacing look seemingly ready to strike, the camera shifted to a shocked Joel sitting in his car. The flashback ended there, but more was revealed later in the episode. As Dee-Dee wrestled with recent events, it became clear she was hiding something and that she had encountered Joel on the night of his death. A second flashback showed her screaming and crying as she washed her blood-stained hands and a bloody crowbar in her kitchen sink. Dee-Dee cried as she collapsed to the floor, but what had she done and whose blood was on the potential weapon? Did she attack Joel and possibly kill him? One Corrie fan wrote on X: “Dee-Dee didn’t do it. That would be too obvious! I hope it wasn’t her. I don’t want her put in prison and out of Corrie. I like her character.” Another chimed in: “Surely theres a twist and it wasn’t Dee-Dee? ? ” A third viewer expressed: “It BETTER NOT BE DEE-DEE! ! I LOVE DEE-DEE. She’ll have to leave if it’s Dee-Dee.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
