Privacy NoticeThe keen-eyed fans of Coronation Street seem to have “rumbled” the comeback date for Lauren Bolton, played by Cait Fitton. This erratic teenager has been missing in action since February, sending shockwaves through viewers as her missing status quickly blossomed into a murder investigation. A tasty selection of popular faces like Daniel Osbourne acted by Rob Mallard and Roy Cropper, David Neilson’s character caused viewers’ eyebrows to shoot up when they were surprisingly accused of Lauren’s supposed murder. Despite the audience favourite Roy Cropper facing jail time over Lauren’s death, dodgy policeman Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts was up to no good, tampering with evidence and planting Lauren’s DNA in the van of convicted criminal Nathan Curtis, played by Christopher Harper, essentially setting him up.

But then it got real, and viewers discovered that twisted lawyer Joel Deering, played by Calum Lill has solved the mystery of Lauren’s disappearance. Flashbacks of peak intensity showed him attacking Lauren until she fell unconscious. While all this went down, Joel seemed to be going on as normal, even planning his wedding with Dee-Dee Bailey, Channique Sterling-Brown’s character. In other news, fan-favourite Roy completed his brief stint in prison and was set free. But in a shock twist, next week’s episodes see Roy rushed to hospital after an unexpected tumble in the cafe. A shadowy figure appears during Roy’s visit which leaves fans eager to learn more. A range of theories have emerged with fans overwhelmingly predicting that Lauren is not only alive, but also could be the mysterious guest visiting Roy in upcoming scenes.

Frenzied chatter has erupted under a Facebook post speculating on the identity of Roy’s elusive visitor. The recurring proposition from fans was: “It will be Lauren.” Other watchers backed this guess with comments like: “Lauren I think.” One spectator put forth their theory, saying: “There have been posts saying he gets a visitor but Nina thinks he’s hallucinating. I reckon Lauren visits him! ! ! ! ” At the same time, another fan threw in their thoughts stating: “Defo Lauren, because that’s who the storyline is about! “. However some fans believe that the person Roy has been seeing is his deceased wife, Hayley Cropper (played by Julie Hesmondhalgh). Julie, who portrayed Hayley for 16 years on the ITV soap, retired her character’s iconic red anorak a decade ago. Hayley was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2013 and died less than a year later.

On X, one viewer posted: “Some fans are speculating that Roy’s ‘visitor’ next week might be Hayley. Getting a Roy/Hayley scene would be beautiful.” Another fan speculated: “Strong indication that Hayley’s back next week? #Corrie”, and a third added: “I get the feeling that he may have seen a premonition of Hayley.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
