Privacy NoticeCoronation Street fans are bracing themselves for a potential heart-wrenching death, following the announcement of the departure of Stu Carpenter (played by actor Bill Fellows) from the ITV soap. The current abuse storyline involving troubled teen Mason Radcliffe has sparked concern among viewers, with some predicting a tragic turn of events as Stu leaves the cobbles for good. As part of the abuse narrative, the show has revealed the identity of one of Mason’s brothers, Logan, and some fans fear the move signals that Stu’s days are numbered and tragedy could strike. Stu, a formerly homeless chef who arrived in Weatherfield three years ago, is expected to continue supporting Mason after the youngster opened up to him about his difficult home life.

However, next week’s spoilers indicate that Mason is apprehensive as his brothers attempt to pull him into a life of crime, with Stu keen to assist him. However, Stu’s meddling results in Logan coming to Weatherfield, and soon a brick is hurled through the window of Stu and Yasmeen’s house, reports the Mirror. Soap enthusiasts are all aflutter on social media, completely convinced that Stu’s days are numbered, with one eagle-eyed fan speculated: “I’ve heard that Mason’s Brother kills Stuart! As The man who plays Stuart is leaving, it’s plausible.” Earlier this year actor Luca Toolan, who plays Mason, hinted about what was to come by revealing viewers were going to get a “clearer insight” into his troubled family life.

I think once Mason is fully back on screen, we will see little nuggets of things which we will be able to explore further into his backstory and give a clearer insight into his family life.” The actor who plays Stu, Bill Fellows, announced last month that he was leaving the soap after three years. His character Stu was introduced when Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) encountered him while living on the streets. The character has gone on to feature in a number of key storylines over his three years in Weatherfield, having previously spent 27 years in prison after he was implicated in the death of Charlie Walker. Bill has now reportedly filmed his final scenes and it set to appear in a new BBC comedy, Smoggie Queens, about a close-knit group of LGBTQ+ friends in Middlesborough.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
