While the panel was chatting about whether parents should kiss in front of their kids, Coleen, 59, admitted she’s not one for public displays of affection. But the conversation took a hilarious turn when co-host Ruth Langsford revealed she had received a text from Coleen’s son, Shane, 35. Ruth announced: “Interestingly, I’ve just had a message come in, this is from Shane..” Coleen’s face turned crimson as she reacted with an “Oh no! ” Ruth read out the message: “He says tell mum, what are you talking about? You’re constantly kissing Michael and it makes me want to vom!”

The studio audience and fellow panellists were taken aback by the revelation, leaving Coleen embarrassed but quick to defend herself. She retorted: “Oh no I’m not, he’s just winding me up and I’m so gonna kill him when I see him! ” When asked if there was any truth to it, Coleen firmly denied it, saying “No, no! ” even as Ruth playfully noted her flushed cheeks, reports the Mirror. Coleen clarified her stance, insisting: “No, a kiss on the lips, we won’t stand there snogging the face off each other, it makes me sick! ” She also joked about her son’s viewing habits: “He [her son, Shane] watches Loose Women every day, he needs to get a life!” After her divorce from second husband Ray Fensome in 2018, Coleen found love with Michael Jones in 2021 following a stint on Tinder, which she joined with the encouragement of fellow Loose Women star Brenda Edwards.

Speaking to the Mirror, Coleen shared: “I was on Tinder with Brenda – she swiped right for me I just said ‘oh he looks nice’ and then he messaged me and it just went from there really. And he didn’t have all that ‘bet you’re a loose woman’ or ‘bet you’re in the mood for dancing’ chat.” Coleen, who has been married twice before, admitted she never thought she’d consider marriage again after her second divorce. However, she still believes in the institution and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of tying the knot again in the future. “I do sometimes,” she said, “I think it would be lovely.” The TV personality was previously married to EastEnders actor Shane Richie from 1990 to 1999, with whom she shares two children, Jake and Shane Jr. She was also married to Ray Fensome from 2007 to 2018, with whom she has a daughter, Ciara.
