Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman has spilled the beans on who is her favourite colleague behind-the-scenes. Chatting with Vernon Kay on his BBC Radio 2 show, she gushed about her top tunes during Vernon’s Tracks Of My Years segment and gave a special shout-out to Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up’ as one of her ultimate tracks. She then confessed to Vernon her eagerness to feature some of the band’s hits on Strictly, leading her to sing praises for the show’s executive producer, Sarah James. Claudia enthused: “We’ve got an amazing boss on Strictly called Sarah, who is the love of my life, she’s amazing. And I’m always saying, ‘Have you considered Primal Scream?'” Sarah, who stepped up as executive producer in 2019 after a five-year stint on the show, once acknowledged that the “buck stopped with me”. In another part of the show with Vernon, Claudia opened up about her style muse, which she amusingly describes as a “mature male French student”. The star revealed that the BBC squad, especially Sarah, are constantly nudging her to ditch her indie-rock “uniform” for a dash of dazzle.

That’s why Movie Week on Strictly is her absolute highlight: “The only way to get me out of my uniform is, I have to dress up as somebody,” Claudia shared with Vernon. She reminisced about drawing inspiration from icons like Anita Dobson, Elvis Presley, and Elton John. “This series, because I just want to wear kaftans. It was Dennis Roussos. Don’t worry – the glittery boots are coming,” reports Birmingham Live.

Claudia Winkleman is totally vibing with Kris Jenner’s iconic summer looks, as the fashionista confesses: “in the summer months, Kris Jenner’s always happy in a kaftan.” While dishing on her top tunes during Vernon’s ‘Tracks Of My Years,’ Claudia couldn’t help but gush over Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ On Up’, revealing it’s on her hit list and she’s itching to feature some of their tracks on the show.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
