Privacy NoticeSunday Brunch viewers all have the same gripe, leading many to turn off the Channel 4 cooking show. Fans took to X – previously known as Twitter – to share that they were switching off after seeing today’s (September 29) line-up. The cast, which included Lulu, Craig David, Chris Chung, Alexandra Roach and Wings of Desire, didn’t impress online users. While some were thrilled to see singing star Lulu on the show, even suggesting she should be awarded a damehood, others felt “it was too early” for her lively personality and pledged to switch off, pleading with her to “calm down”. Just minutes into the programme, Lulu was discussing her upbringing, remembering a time when her family was so “poor” that her Scottish father “could only afford to buy half bottle of whiskey”. She then launched into an accent which didn’t sit well with viewers. One viewer questioned: “How many accents has Lulu got? #sundaybrunch,” while another stated: “Lulu needs to calm down on #sundaybrunch. It’s too early for any of her accents”, reports the Express.

Others chimed in with: “Lulu and Craig David are the guests on #sundaybrunch today so I’m giving it a miss,” and “What an absolutely p***-poor lineup today. Turning off #SundayBrunch.” Further comments included: “#sundaybrunch @sundaybrunch Lulu is the only one I have heard of and they had better let her shout,” and “B****y Lulu,” while one exasperated viewer exclaimed: “Oh f*** off.”

Fans urged for Lulu to “calm down”

A few weeks ago, the show was thrown into disarray when host Tim Lovejoy had viewers in fits of laughter after a hilarious mix-up on the Channel 4 programme. On the show, Tim and his co-host Simon Rimmer were joined by celebs Lucy Beaumont, Pixie Lott, Blossoms, Gary Lightbody, Ellie Leach and Sophia Warner on a Sunday morning (September 15).

Tim was thankfully rescued by his co-host Simon who jumped to his defence and highlighted his funny mistake that had the whole studio laughing. Speaking to guest Gary, Tim asked: “So Gary, by the way, you were at HMV Belfast yesterday. How was that, was that good?” Realising Tim had confused himself with Richard Branson’s famous music store, Simon cleverly corrected: “It’s HMS, not HMV.” Gary seemed to find it amusing as he laughed along with everyone else. Channel 4 viewers didn’t miss a beat, with some taking to their keyboards to also make light of Tim’s error. One viewer joked: “That HMV/HMS joke was literally the funniest thing I have ever ever heard. We are so f*****g back. I want to cheer.” Sunday Brunch airs on Channel 4, from 09:30am, on Sundays.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
