Privacy NoticeCelebs Go Dating is back with a bang on E4, featuring six more famous faces seeking love with the guidance of dating experts Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn. The first episode aired on Monday night (August 19), where viewers watched as celebrities were thrown into a masquerade-themed mixer to find their first dates.  This series features Love Island’s Chris Taylor, former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan and Gogglebox’s Stephen Lustig-Webb. Also on the hunt for love are Married At First Sight’s Ella Morgan, Made in Chelsea star Tristan Phipps and singer Jamelia. As the celebs met for the first time, they encountered potential matches wearing masks to hide their identities. From a distance, Anna, Paul and Dr Tara observed their dating techniques to provide guidance throughout their journey at the agency.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the episode, highlighting a habit displayed by one of the celebrities that they claimed “needs to stop”, reports the Mirror. One viewer posted on Instagram: “Ella needs to stop leading with sex, marriage etc and try and dig deeper.” Another person commented: “Is this what dating is now really about. It’s so brash and forward. Ella, Helen massively oversharing. Had to turn it off. Can see why some are single. This is going to turn into the Ella show.” One person couldn’t help but comment, “Why must she always take the conversation to ranksville [sic]?”. Another was so put off they admitted: “Had to turn it off, thank God I grew up in a different generation.” But not everyone was critical as a supporter of Ella jumped to her defence, pointing out gender double standards by saying: “I would just like to add that Chris talks about his scrotum and because he is male, no one in the comments has mentioned about that.

“I think people should stop having their opinion on how a female should act and that it’s perfectly normal for them to embrace their bodies.” Meanwhile, Lauryn Goodman is gearing up to join the agency soon, and with her high-profile romance with footballer Kyle Walker, who fathered her two kids, she’s bound to have some juicy stories to share.
