Privacy NoticeLauryn Goodman has released a statement after fans were left puzzled by her absence from Celebs Go Dating’s new series premiere, despite earlier announcements she’d be starring in the show. The 33-year-old influencer, previously tipped to join celebs like Made In Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps, Married At First Sight star Ella Morgan, Love Island’s Chris Taylor, the acclaimed singer Jamelia, Corrie’s very own Helen Flanagan and Gogglebox’s Stephen Lustig-Webb in the line-up, was a no-show on the first episode aired on August 19. In the Bridgerton-esque masked mixer that featured in Monday’s premiere, the celebs got glammed up for some Regency-inspired romance, but Lauryn was nowhere to be seen.

Lauryn has now explained why she wasn’t present in episode one, and it transpires she was never meant to be. She explained in a statement: “Ahhh sorry! I come in halfway through, I’ll let you know when I’m set to enter.” Lauryn Goodman certainly made an impression on Love Island’s Chris while filming the show. Speaking exclusively to OK!, he shared: “Lauryn Goodman was breastfeeding, she offered me the opportunity to taste the breast milk, which I did. And then I also made Tristan do it.” Before diving into the show, Lauryn shared her hopes for appearing on the show. She said: “I am ready to put my past behind me and move forward, so I am hoping the agents can find me someone I really vibe with and that could potentially blossom into something more.” Celebs Go Dating continues on Tuesday at 9pm on E4.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
