Privacy NoticeTasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page have been loved-up ever since they clapped eyes on one another in the Love Island villa back in 2022. The couple came in fourth place – losing out to eventual winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti – and have remained smitten ever since, having even bought their first home together. Leaving no doubt about how he feels about his girlfriend, Andrew, 29, got an adorable tattoo tribute to Tasha, 26, not long after leaving the villa hand in hand, and the meaning behind the inking is very special. Located on the back of his upper arm, Andrew has a tattoo of a hand signing ‘I love you’ in British Sign Language, and holding Tasha’s cochlear implant. Tasha proudly wears a cochlear implant and was born deaf.

Tasha previously showed off Andrew’s sweet inking on social media. Posting on X, she said: “So Andrew came home and surprised me with his new tattoo, I actually can’t even!!!!!!! How beautiful it’s ‘ily’ in BSL with my cochlear implant wrapped around. Also just to clarify * the ily is ASL but it is also used in BSL as it became more used – there is another way to sign ily in BSL which is what me and my dad did to each other when he came into the villa. But both can be used in bsl as I know both.” A cochlear implant is a small, complex electronic device that can assist in providing a sense of sound to a person who is profoundly deaf or severely hard-of-hearing. The implant consists of an external portion that rests behind the ear and a second portion that is surgically placed under the skin. Tasha and Andrew also have matching tattoos, proving their commitment to one another. Tasha has a rose inked behind her ear while Andrew has the exact same tattoo on his hand.

Tasha is currently competing on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, with boyfriend Andrew cheering her on all the way. She has revealed it is the “best feeling ever” to be on Strictly and raising awareness around the deaf community. Speaking to OK!, Tasha said: “It’s the best feeling ever. I’ve been so lucky for the past two years, to be able to raise awareness around the deaf community. Someone messaged me the other day and said, “Because of you, I feel confident today.” That means so much – that’s what makes me smile. She also added: “It’s showing people with disabilities that when you put your mind to it, you can do hard things. It shouldn’t define you, but it’s a special and unique part of you. Just look at Chris [McCausland] – he’s so inspiring. He’s blind but showing everyone he can still dance. I feel so honoured to be able to help all the young ‘Tashas’ out there, maybe watching the show.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
