Privacy NoticeOzzy Osbourne’s former guitarist Jake E. Lee has been ‘shot multiple times’ during a morning dog walk, according to reports. Jake’s reps say that the incident took place “at random” whilst he was in Las Vegas. Currently, the musician is said to be battling his injuries in intensive care. The incident is now under police investigation, according to reports. Jake E. Lee, known for his iconic stint as Ozzy’s lead guitarist, had five years of noteworthy partnership with the rock legend before venturing into other music ensembles. During an early morning stroll with his dog, Lee became the unexpected victim of a ‘shooting.’ A representative for Lee told Dailymail.com: “Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital.”

His tenure with Ozzy lasted from 1982 until 1987, stepping into the big shoes left by the late Randy Rhodes, who tragically died in a plane crash. Lee’s musical journey saw him in bands like Badlands and later spearheading Red Dragon Cartel formed in 2013. Fans are pouring in support for Jake following this harrowing news, with heartfelt messages flooding social media. One distressed fan questioned: “What has happened to our country?” Supportive echoes came along with comments such as “Get well soon Jake!” while another voiced their concern with “Wishing Jake all the best.” Adding to the chorus of support, a well-wisher offered: “Prayers to Jake E Lee for a speedy recovery.”

Jake, famously joined Ozzy Osbourne’s band after sending Sharon Osbourne a photo and video of his performance. Initially, George Lynch of Dokken was in the running for the gig, having been invited to play at Ozzy’s sound checks, but it was Jake who ultimately secured the spot. At just 25 years old, Jake told Louder Sound: “I did feel bad but not as bad as I felt good. And at least I had an early experience of how Ozzy fires people.” He also reflected on his time with Ozzy, saying he “sobered up” after seeing what could potentially be his future if he followed in Ozzy’s footsteps. After touring the globe with Ozzy for five years, Jake was unexpectedly let go in 1987, right after a seemingly amicable dinner with Sharon, leaving him blindsided by the decision. Earlier this year, Jake revealed that he hasn’t spoken to Ozzy or Sharon since then, but holds no grudges against them. After, Jake took a year off before joining forces with bands like Badlands, Wicked Alliance, and Bourgeois Pigs. He enjoyed a successful solo career and later formed the group Red Dragon Cartel.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
