Privacy Notice Phillip Schofield appeared to be in the celebrating spirit over the weekend as he enjoyed a night out with his wife Stephanie Lowe and a group of pals in London – with the presenter sipping on bubbles while surrounded by balloons. The former This Morning host, who returns to TV this evening in his new Channel 5 show, Cast Away, appeared in high spirits as he was snapped chatting away with the group. Phillip was reportedly on the night out to celebrate a pal’s engagement, donning a navy blazer with a linen shirt underneath.

Phillip appeared to pose for snaps with fellow pub-goers and even looked to be dancing at one point, clearly letting his hair down for the night. His wife, Stephanie, appeared to be enjoying the night out too as they sat around a pub table. The former couple have two daughters, Molly, born in 1993, and Ruby, born in 1996. And despite Phillip coming out as gay in 2020 and revealing his affair with a colleague last year, he is still incredibly close with his wife. He told the Sun on Sunday after coming out in 2020: “Steph is my closest confidante. She’s been amazing. I have no secrets from Steph. We have been very truthful and honest. She has known for a while. When you live with someone, you know these things, don’t you? We sat down and we talked and then she left me to have space. I don’t know what it would have been like if I had a different person in my life.”

Phillip was joined by his beloved pet pooch Alfie for the evening, as he headed into a taxi with his dog after celebrating at the pub. Following the outing, a source told MailOnline: “Phillip was with his wife and a group of friends. He seemed in good spirits and looked like he was enjoying himself. It looked like they were attending an engagement party for a friend and he helped himself to some cake too.” Phillip will be on screen this week in his new show, Cast Away, where he will be seen on a deserted island for ten days. During the show, he is expected to share details of the last 16 months since stepping down from This Morning and admitting to an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a young male runner on the show.

And the outing comes after Eamonn Holmes said earlier this week he’s “proud” to have thrown his former This Morning co-star Phillip “under the bus” after years working together. The GB News presenter launched into a fresh attack on his one-time This Morning co-star on his TV show this morning – insisting: “I believe he is where he deserves to be.” He told his co-hosts in the wake of news that Phillip is returning to TV to tell his side of the story in a documentary filmed on a desert island tonight: “I am one of the people who threw him under the bus, I am very proud to have done it.” He went on: “This man is addicted to fame. Absolutely addicted to fame.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
