Privacy NoticeKerry Katona has been brutally honest about her opinion on Phillip Schofield’s return to TV with his new show Cast Away, which kicks off this evening on Channel 5. Taking to her weekly New! Magazine column, the former Atomic Kitten star, 44, blasted the presenter as ‘tone deaf’ as she admitted her disagreement with the new show, and predicted he may even appear on Celebrity Big Brother next. Here, Kerry shares her thoughts on Phillip’s career move, gives an update on her week and shares her opinion on My Mum, Your Dad, which finished last week.

Look Who’s Back Phillip Schofield is back on screen this week with his Channel 5 show Cast Away and I was quite surprised at his return to television. If I’m honest, I think it’s a really self-indulgent move to have him alone on a desert island, playing the pity card. He talks about living with absolutely nothing on this island, but then he goes back to his big house, wealth and home comforts. I think it’s really tone-deaf. Saying that, we’re obviously all watching it, aren’t we? I think Phil will do Celebrity Big Brother next and I’d love to go in with him. Big Brother, if you’re casting, please put us in – I’d be brutally honest with him.
Brooklyn Beckham has launched his own hot sauce
(Image: Instagram)
Brooklyn’s Raw Deal Brooklyn Beckham has just come out with his own hot sauce, Cloud23, and I think it’s a shame that people aren’t taking him seriously as a chef. He’s probably very good at what he’s doing but I feel like his parents’ fame is actually working against him. People think that having a famous name gets you places, which it does initially, but it also means you’re not taken seriously a lot of the time. I’ve found that with my acting career – people don’t take me seriously as an actor because of who I am. Brooklyn will always be known as Victoria and David’s son and not as a chef, so I do feel for him – and I love a bit of spice, so send some my way, Brooklyn!
Kerry recently took to the stage with a motivational speaker talk
I’m Miss Motivator I spent last weekend in Devon for the MF Business and Wealth Summit, where I was a speaker. I love telling my story in front of people and inspiring people – it’s almost like therapy for me to talk about my history. It can be triggering and emotional when I talk about my past but I also love it and love giving people hope. I really want to be a motivational speaker – I feel like it’s my calling. I find that people can have misconceptions about me and often are surprised when they meet me and find out more about who I really am.
The star is yet to catch up on My Mum, Your Dad
(Image: ITV)
The Kids Are Alright The second series of My Mum, Your Dad finished on Friday but I’ve not got around to watching it yet – all I know is that it’s like a middle-aged Love Island. I don’t think I could do it if I was single. I cringe too much at any kind of PDA. It makes me blush. I remember when I did Celebs Go Dating in 2019, I wouldn’t even kiss any of the guys because I knew I was on television. It makes me so nervous – I’m quite funny about showing my love life on TV, which sounds ironic since I do OnlyFans, but that’s different. Although, I do like the concept of My Mum, Your Dad and would definitely give my kids control of my love life if I was in that position – I trust their judgement.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
