Privacy NoticeMolly-Mae Hague has opened up about the early days with her daughter, Bambi, admitting she had “dark times” and went to “hell and back”. However, the 25-year-old has admitted that she hopes for a younger sibling for her daughter, despite currently being estranged from her husband and Bambi’s father Tommy Fury. The former Love Island star spoke out in a new Q&A with her sister Zoe. During the chat, Molly-Mae confessed that she went through a ‘breakdown’ after she gave birth to her daughter in 2023. “The only child I had held was Bobby, which is Fran’s son [her best friend Francesca Britton], that’s the only child I’d been around, I really had no idea” she said. “Those first few weeks of Bambi’s life… hell and back. We were having a breakdown.”

Molly-Mae explained that she and Tommy had did everything together, rather than taking turns looking after Bambi. She realises now it just left both of them exhausted. She also took the advice from others to keep visitors away until she had found her routine. “I really took that on board way too heavily,” she said. “I basically said no visitors and I wanted to be able to say I had all this time with just me and her to bond. The first night with Bambi in the house, I was by myself. Now I look back, it sends shivers down my spine, I had no idea what I was doing.” Molly-Mae also offered insight into the ‘dark times’ she faced when trying to conquer breastfeeding with Bambi, sharing: “Wow. Dark. That was dark, dark times,” she said. “I think it’s lovely to give it a go but don’t put any pressure on yourself because that’s what I was doing,” she added. “I genuinely think that contributed to my milk supply just giving up on me.”

However, the reality star was quick to admit that she would love to do it all again and is hoping for a sibling for Bambi one day. Talking to her sister, Molly admitted her childhood would have been boring with the company of a sibling. “I really want Bambi to have a sister, because I would have had the most boring childhood, even though it would have been stress-free, it would not have been anywhere near a funny,” she said. “All my best memories growing up we were together, crabbing on the beach.”

Whether her baby plans are a sign that Molly-Mae and Tommy may be reuniting following their split back in August, remains to be seen. The couple who met on Love Island in 2019 have created a joint home and lifestyle brand that is thought to be worth around 9 million. Meanwhile Molly-Mae’s online clothing brand Maebe almost crashed the internet recently when the collection sold out in just 24 minutes.
