Privacy NoticeEastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has opened up about a harrowing experience during her family holiday in Marbella, where their villa was raided by thieves. Armed robbers made away with £20,000 worth of belongings including her engagement ring given to her by her husband, ex-TOWIE star Dan Osborne. The couple and their children were asleep when burglars struck, stealing cash, designer gear, and electronics. They were on a sun-soaked getaway with their kids, Ella, nine, Mia, five, and Dan’s son Teddy, eight. In a frightening encounter, Jacqueline came face-to-face with one of the intruders after being awoken by a noise but fortunately, they escaped unharmed. She attributes this to a guardian angel, having delayed confronting the robber, a move that may have spared them from danger.

Opening up to The Sun, Jacqueline revealed: “I truly believe in guardian angels. Something kept me from going out straight away. Had I done, I could have been blocking his way. He would have had to move around me, push me downstairs or use a weapon. We saw it on CCTV. There was something very long and sharp in his hand”, reports the Mirror . Jacqueline was left devastated after burglars stole her engagement ring from Dan, cash, designer gear, and even a little purse with money for their daughter Mia’s lost tooth. “I get fuming about what they took from the kids – Mia’s little purse,” Jacqueline expressed her anger.

Before the break-in, Jacqueline had an eerie premonition, sharing that she had a “weird gut feeling” that evening. The children wanted to sleep downstairs, but Dan, 33, decided against it at the last minute. “We let the kids stay up later to watch a film after dinner. They asked if they could sleep in the room downstairs. Luckily, Dan changed his mind and said everyone just sleep upstairs all on one level. He said, ‘I don’t like the thought of you being down here on your own’. Thank God, that happened,” she continued to The Sun. Jacqueline also revealed that she feared one of her children had been kidnapped – thankfully they were unharmed.

Police in Malaga are investigating the burglary and believe a professional gang was responsible. The couple isn’t alone in facing such an ordeal; BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw also fell victim to a holiday home heist in Ibiza, during his 40th birthday celebrations. Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
