Earlier this year he wore a silver metal breast plate to the Vanity Fair Oscars party that defined his pecs and abs, with one fan sharing on Instagram: “hottest. doctor. ever.” He has also been the cover star of various glossy magazines where he has had the chance to reveal his hard work in the gym and shared some of the shots from an edition of Attitude magazine on Instagram in April, with one person commenting: “Soooooo where do I sign up to be a companion?” Last June, Ncuti proudly showed off a nude photoshoot for British Vogue and in an accompanying interview, gave a glimpse of how he trains.

He said of his time on Sex Education: “I used to train at this gym with a lot of ex-cons and bodybuilders, and these guys would come up to me like, ‘Eric’s my favourite character,’ or ‘You’re my girlfriend’s favourite character,’ and I’m like, ‘Don’t lie!’ It was so cool because I could see the show opening up people’s minds.” He also told British GQ when asked about his travel essentials: “Booty bands. I travel with these everywhere. 20 fire hydrants one leg, 20 fire hydrants the other leg. 20 donkey kicks one leg, 20 donkey kicks the other leg. We do that four times round. You’re gonna get a fat ass if you do that!” In his social media posts, Ncuti has given a shout out to his personal trainer David Higgins, who has also worked with Marvel stars including Simu Liu and Kumail Nanjiani. Ahead of the new series of Doctor Who, which opens with two episodes entitled Space Babies and The Devil’s Chord on Saturday, 11 May, Ncuti said: “This series is so cinematic and beautiful. There’s nowhere else on British TV where you get stories like this. We’ve poured our blood, sweat and tears into it, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!” Doctor Who returns on Saturday, 11 May at 6.20pm and 7.05pm on BBC OneStory SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
