Privacy NoticeBritain’s Got Talent fans were left scratching their heads on Saturday night when the latest golden buzzer was awarded to a skating partnership. Duo Stardust, a married couple from Ukraine, were inspired to audition for the show by a similar act from the past. Skaters Billy and Emily had previously auditioned in 2015, and now years later, Duo Stardust hope to follow in their successful footsteps. The pair delivered an awe-inspiring performance for judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Amanda Holden. Showcasing a series of moves and lifts on a platform, the couple demonstrated their skills, even being suspended off the ground at one point. Adding to the spectacle, pyrotechnics took the performance up a notch with the judges giving them a round of applause. Amanda could barely watch as the couple spun upwards quite high, with very little support keeping them steady.

As the audition concluded, the judges gave them a standing ovation, with the crowd also cheering them on. The audience members loved it so much they began chanting for the judges to give them a golden buzzer, reports the Mirror. As has been seen throughout the series, the judges have already given out their one buzzer each, before bending the rules and pressing it a few more times. But it seems that there’s more to come, as Simon jumped up and pressed the buzzer, giving the screaming crowd what they wanted. Audiences at home were totally blown away, with one fan penning on Twitter: “This skating couple is amazing. My favourite act this season.”

Another equally blown away viewer penned: “Duo Stardust, Wow wow wow,” and yet another exclaimed: “OMG THAT ONE DESERVED A GOLDEN BUTTON 100%.” Yet, some spectators were left scratching their heads over the rules, questioning whether there should’ve been another buzzer considering the high number already awarded. One unimpressed viewer tweeted: “Simon pressing the golden buzzer again. how many do they get these days. Normally one per judge.” Another curious fan asked: “How many golden buzzers are given? ” as a third Twitter user repeated the question, writing: “How many golden buzzers have #bgt given now? Feels like every other act is a golden buzzer.” While another fan said: “There’s been more golden buzzers than acts from Britain on this series.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
