It’s said that the lockdown periods were challenging for them, leading to a re-evaluation of their relationship before they decided to part ways. Over the years, Billie and Johnny kept their love life out of the spotlight, but Johnny once shared his feelings about Billie with Event magazine, saying: “She’s made my life better in so many ways and I just feel I now know who I am, I know what I can do, I know where I want to be. And that’s with her.”

Despite their break-up, sources told The Sun that they plan to remain friends and cherish the memories they’ve made over the years. A source revealed: “It’s obviously very sad that the couple have gone their separate ways. But the relationship ran its course and they decided they would be better off apart.” They added: “Like many couples, lockdown was quite tough for them, so they have had time to really think about what they want their future to look like. They will always treasure the time they had together and have many happy memories. Now they are concentrating on co-parenting their daughter and their separate careers.” Just last week, Billie made a solo appearance at The Broadcast Awards in London. This came after a sneak peek of her new Netflix film, Scoop, was unveiled. In the movie, she portrays BBC producer Sam McAlister, who is known for arranging Prince Andrew’s notorious Newsnight interview.

Meanwhile, Johnny has been keeping busy with his work and is currently touring with his bandmates. He recently took a trip to Los Angeles to write some new material. Billie and Johnny, who is the lead singer of Tribes, started dating in 2016. They welcomed their daughter on 2 January, 2019. Sharing the news of her third child’s birth, her first with Johnny, Billie said: “Two weeks ago our little girl arrived. She has totally blown our minds. I didn’t know what I was missing but it was you Tallulah … love you Johnny Lloyd wonderful daddy.” At the beginning of their relationship, Johnny shared that Billie “challenged” him often, asking about his five-year plan, both personally and professionally. “I felt my head had been stuck in this way of just thinking next job, next tour and I wanted to keep talking to her.

Luckily she felt the same way about me,” he said. Their romance blossomed following the end of her relationship with actor turned controversial politician, Laurence Fox in 2016. In a statement released back when they announced their separation, a representative for Laurence Fox and Billie Piper shared: “Laurence Fox and Billie Piper have separated. No third parties are involved. For the sake of our family, we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time.” They share two sons, Winston and Eugene. Before her marriage to Laurence, Billie was famously married to radio presenter Chris Evans.
