Privacy NoticeThe ballroom is buzzing with whispers as Strictly Come Dancing anticipates its very first elimination of the season this weekend. With the glittering return of the BBC favourite, a constellation of celebs including Nick Knowles, Chris McCausland, Sam Quek, Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill, and others dazzled us last weekend without the fear of being sent home. But, spare a thought for Paul and Nick, whose odds to win have plummeted to 150/1, hinting they might be waltzing out the door soon. While everyone’s rhythm was on display, it remains Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri twirling into the hearts of fans, with William Hill tipping her chances from 5/1 to an even rosier 3/1. On the flip side, JLS heartthrob JB jived his way to better odds at 9/2, and comedian Chris isn’t far behind at 7/2. Off the dance floor, there’s a touch of concern as Nicks’ fiancée shared he’s become a “shell of a man” amid his whirlwind dance adventure. At 62, the DIY SOS lead has shed two stone in practice, partnering with the fabulous Luba Mushtuk, 34, racing towards that coveted glitterball trophy. Nick, the beloved DIY SOS presenter, has sparked concern among fans after he posted a video on Instagram showing him in a sling due to an arm injury sustained while changing a tyre.

In a heartfelt video message posted on social media while en route to the Strictly studio on Saturday morning, Nick shared: “It’s been a tough week but I’m very, very excited to dance later this evening.” And don’t worry about me, shoulder is getting stronger every single day. Thank you for all your wishes of support and all the love that’s been sent. I really, really do appreciate it and will try and do my best for you.” At the start of the week, Knowles revealed he’d been patched up by docs and physios for his injury and even sported a sling during his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on Monday. He quipped on the programme that he’s ready to pull off one-armed dance lifts with his pro partner Luba.

This weekend also sees the judges and pros delivering an “avant-garde gothic tango” in the first results show of the 20th anniversary series. They’ll be grooving to Prince’s When Doves Cry and New Order’s Blue Monday, ahead of the first celeb departure. On Sunday evening, Strictly’s veteran judge Craig Revel Horwood will don a blond wig and perch on a golden throne. Judge Anton Du Beke is set to dazzle in a purple jacket paired with a gold waistcoat and crisp white shirt, while Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse will be clad in chic all-black ensembles. The professional dancers are going for a monochrome vibe, sporting white and black as they encircle the throne, which will be at the centre of a judges’ showdown.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
