Privacy Notice Snoochie Shy was the first star to be eliminated from Celebrity Masterchef this week after she suffered a ‘disaster’ in the kitchen, failing to impress judges Gregg Wallace and John Torodeenough during the first round. The radio presenter, 32, joined This Morning’s Craig Doyle, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins and presenter Edith Bowman in the first heats for the cooking competition, which aired on Tuesday (13 August). “It is sad to go home but I know a lot of disasters happened in that kitchen so I knew I was going! I am going to go home and have a glass of wine and put my feet up!” said Snoochie after she was told to hang up her apron. Sign up to OK’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

The five celebs were tasked with taking on the show’s Under The Cloche’ challenge, which has them create a dish from scratch to show off their skills – with Snoochie making a curry with aubergine. Later in the episode, the five contestants made a two-course dinner party menu, with Snoochie again delivering a curry- this time a Thai prawn curry – alongside a peach crumble. Despite giving the two challenges her best efforts, Snoochie was criticised for making two curries. Her crumble also came under fire for being too dry. In the coming weeks, Love Island’s Chloe Burrows, model Christine McGuinness, EastEnders’ Danielle Harold, The Traitors’ Diane Carson, makeup artist Dominic Skinner, Model Emma Thynn, comedian Eshaan Akbar, X Factor’s Jake Quickenden, comedian Jamie MacDonald, Sugababes’ Mutya Buena, BBC Radio 2 DJ OJ Borg, actor Tamer Hassan, Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola., and Gladiators’ Harry Aikines-Aryeetey will also be trying to win over the judges.

Sarah Clay, Commissioning Editor for the BBC, recently gave a hint about what to expect in episodes to come: “The standard of this competition gets higher every year, so expect lots of laughs and some fierce rivalry as we’re set for some of the hardest challenges yet. “These celebs are a brave brunch and are taking us on a brilliant ride – all in the trusty hands of our distinguished judges, John and Gregg.” Last series had viewers on the edge of their seats as opera singer Wynne Evans, Emmerdale’s sweetheart Amy Walsh, and Love Island hunk Luca Bish battled through six weeks of intense culinary trials. In the thrilling conclusion, Wynne Evans was announced as the champion, snagging the trophy and earning the right to call himself Masterchef champ.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
