His current role as Rich in Casualty has seen Michael thrust back into the spotlight. His character is a main focus in the new instalment on Storm Damage, due to his infidelity. Actress Melanie, who plays Rich’s wife Siobhan, has opened up about the storyline, revealing Siobhan is “blindsided” by Rich’s betrayal in upcoming scenes. Finding out about the affair has a huge impact on Siobhan’s work and personal life. “It’s like a big punch in the face to be honest. Siobhan had no idea this was coming and so she’s in a terrible state and, what’s trebly awful, is that she lets Cam down because she’s so deflated,” the actress revealed to What To Watch. She went on reveal Rich and Siobhan’s marriage has become loveless. Melanie added: “I think it’s one of those, because they’ve been together for a lot of years, it’s become more like a brother and sister. You hear him say several times that he still loves her, she’s the mother of his child, but he’s simply not in love.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
