Privacy NoticeKing Charles and Queen Camilla were on hand on Monday 15 July to watch a rain-drenched King’s Parade in Jersey. Camilla, wearing a blue Anna Valentine silk shirt dress, was left in stitches when, after patting one of them, two Jersey cows got a little frisky with each other during the royal visit – as a rather bemused King Charles looked on. She struggled to contain her giggles as the animal was mounted by the other, but she eventually composed herself. The hilarious moment – captured brilliantly on camera with the Queen Consort’s expression – was during a tour of the Jersey Expo Event at Weighbridge Place in St Helier, an exhibition created to celebrate local agriculture, aquaculture and environmental initiatives.

The King and Queen travelled to Jersey on Monday as part of their first visit to the Channel Islands, before moving on to Guernsey on Tuesday 16, to attend a special sitting of the States of Deliberation and ancient ceremony of homage to the monarch, held outdoors on the St Peter Port seafront where islanders can watch the events. During the visit to Jersey, the King and Queen were pulled away over a security alert and into nearby Pomme d’Or Hotel, after it is believed a member of the visit team raised a concern, and after investigation, it turned out to be a false alarm.

As for her hilarious faces, it’s not the first time the King’s wife has amused us with her brilliantly down to earth reactions/ Some of her faces watching the horse racing are a sight for sore eyes. Or there are the times when the weather is simply against her – such as the classic shot during a 2011 trip to Morocco where a gust of wind had her blonde hair almost swept vertically.

In Robert Hardman’s book released earlier this year, he tells how Her Majesty in real life is ‘uproariously funny,’ and how his abiding memory of a weekend stay at Balmoral was ‘laughing a lot with her.’ In his book Camilla’s sister, Annabel Elliot, also reveals that her big sister has never lost the mischievous sense of fun she’s had since childhood – and how it’s this humour that helps navigate her through the demands of her role.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
