Privacy NoticeBuckingham Palace had to swiftly update its announcement of Princess Beatrice’s second pregnancy after eagle-eyed Royal enthusiasts noticed a rather embarrassing mistake in the princess’s title. On Tuesday afternoon, the Palace took to their social media platforms to announce the happy news, sharing two adorable snaps of Princess Beatrice and her family. One snap captured a sweet moment with blonde-haired tot Sienna from behind as she strolled down a country lane, hand in hand with her doting dad Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and her big brother Wolfie. However, the accompanying statement had a noticeable typo that didn’t escape the public’s attention. The original post stated: “Her Royal Highess Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna. His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Sharp-eyed followers were quick to point out that the announcement should have read “highness” instead of “highess” taking to social media to highlight the blunder, reports the Express. One user quipped: “Do they not read what they wrote before they post?” Another chimed in with a correction: “Her Royal Highness*.” A third pointed out: “They spelt “Highess” not “highness”. The palace missed the N.” Following the feedback, Buckingham Palace promptly removed the initial post and shared it again, this time with the correct spelling. The newest Royal baby, who won’t be an HRH, will be 11th in line to the throne. This means Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, will move down to 12th place, and Eugenie’s sons August and Ernest Brooksbank will become 13th and 14th in line.

The new arrival will also be the 14th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the second to be born since her passing in 2022, following Ernest’s birth last year. Beatrice’s daughter Sienna, whose middle name is Elizabeth in honour of the late Queen, was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on September 18, 2021. Her stepson Christopher Woolf, affectionately known as Wolfie, was born in 2016 to his then-girlfriend, American architect and designer Dara Huang.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
