Jade and Devon have been hitting one milestone after another, with their engagement announced earlier in 2023 through another romantic black-and-white clip showing Devon’s beachside proposal. Jade marked the date “02.08.23,” in her caption as Ryan Mack’s Forever and Ever and Always provided the perfect soundtrack, reports the Mirror. Overwhelmed with happiness, Jade’s mother Diana commented: “Congratulations beautiful girlies. Sobbing again. Proudest and happiest mum ever, I love you both so much. Your deep true love and your connection makes me smile every single day, Devon thanks for making my girl complete, you two really are made for each other. Love you x.” Jade starred on Britain’s Got Talent in Sign Along With Us, the 65-strong choir mixing song with sign language, which included her little brother, Christian. Christian, who was four years old at the time, lives with Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) brain injury, cerebral palsy, and severe sight impairment. They finished as runners-up to singer Jon Courtenay after being awarded David Walliams’ golden buzzer, with the judge even donating £10,000 to support Christian’s charity work for the NHS.

At the time, Jade told the Mirror: “I never imagined that a group of ordinary people like us would get the golden buzzer. So when it happened, we couldn’t breathe, we were just screaming and crying and were so excited. Sign Along With Us is some kind of magic, I can’t explain.” “When we meet up it feels like family. We’re not a group, we’re a family. It’s flipped our lives in a positive way and Christian is so much happier now. He can tell people how he feels, which is so important and he can talk to other people too – it’s changed his life. That makes it all worthwhile. Everybody deserves to have something like this.” She continued: “Me and Christian have always had a really special bond and always understood each other. But Christian had no way of communicating or understanding, even enough to understand things and repeat them back. I thought, if I can do the signs and give him a visual for the words, it might help him. I wanted Christian to have a second chance at communicating.”
