Privacy Notice Comedian Bobby Davro opened up about his emotional journey following the loss of his partner Vicky Wright, in a heart-to-heart on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. Speaking to hosts Ranvir Singh and Robert Rinder, the 65 year old entertainer who is on the mend after suffering a stroke was candid about his health battles and recent tragic events. The presenters gently probed into how he has been coping since Vicky’s passing in May 2023. Vicky Wright, the daughter of legendary football player Billy Wright, passed away at the age of 63 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Overcome with emotion, Bobby expressed his profound sense of loss: “She was very special, very very special. I miss her probably more now than I did when she first happened.”

The stand-up comedian opened up about the suddenness of his partner’s passing, saying: “I think I miss her more now than I’ve ever done, but life goes on.” Just a month before she died, Bobby shared with Daily Star in April 2023 that his partner was battling pancreatic cancer. Tragically, on May 4th, it was confirmed that she had passed away. Bobby’s representative told the PA news agency that she spent her final moments at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey, surrounded by loved ones, including her daughter Kelly. Following her mother’s death, Kelly took to social media to inform friends and followers of the sad event. Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Using her mother’s account, Kelly posted: “Hello everyone… Some incredibly devastating news to share….My wonderful mum Vicky has sadly passed away this morning. I wanted to use this platform to let you all know, as I know how much she valued all your love and support in so many ways.” During the interview on GMB, Bobby also revealed how he’s coping with his own health issues after having a stroke. He said: “I was on stage, I came off, my left leg bucked a bit and bumped into a table and I realised – well I didn’t realise, I couldn’t put my jumper on properly. I was slurring a bit and someone said ‘I think you’re having a stroke’. “They got me to hospital really quickly, and touchwood, I’m on the mend. I’ve got tablets now, I’ve got one tablet that I’ve got to take for the rest of my life.” Just before the interview ended, Rob asked whether Bobby would ever consider going back to EastEnders (where he played Vinnie Monks) to which he responded “I don’t know, maybe next January”.
