Privacy NoticeTori Spelling has bravely shared her traumatic experience of falling onto a hot hibachi grill at Benihana restaurant, which resulted in severe burns and a skin graft from her thigh to her arm. The 51 year old Beverly Hills 90210 actress suffered the horrific accident back in 2015 while trying to snap a picture of one of her kids wearing a chef’s hat. Speaking on their ‘9021OMG’ podcast, she told her former Beverly Hills co-star Jennie Garth, 52: “I did get a radically bad burn falling on a hot hibachi grill at Benihana on Easter in front of my entire family.” “I have a skin graft that they had to take from my leg.”

She continued: “Not many people can say, ‘Hey, I’m wearing my thigh on my arm’, and I’m not even kidding. So I’m wearing a thin layer of my thigh on my arm because the skin burnt so bad.” Torie explained how she was trying to capture a cute moment when she “took one step back, flew up on the oil and the rest is history”. She added that when she fell, her arm was “sticking to the grill” and her family could smell something burning. Tori continued: “You know when you fall in front of people and you’re, like, embarrassed, and you’re, like, ‘I’m fine’. And you’re really, like, ‘Oh, I don’t know if I’m okay’. It was one of those moments.” She also revealed that other diners thought she’d been drinking, saying: “Like, ‘well, it’s the celebrity.”

Tori also shared that despite being in severe pain, she continued with the Easter meal because she’s a “bad-a** b****”. The following day, she took herself to the emergency room where she was informed by medical staff that her skin was necrotising and she needed to visit a burn clinic. Tori subsequently filed a lawsuit against the Benihana chain for what her legal documents described as “deep second and third-degree burn injuries requiring hospitalization and surgery” before reaching an out-of-court settlement. The actress also announced last year that she and husband Dean McDermott were going their separate ways. The pair have been together for 18 years and have five children together. Dean shared the news of their split in a lengthy post on Instagram, as he shared a picture of them together in happier times, along with a recent snap with four of their five children. He wrote: “It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own. “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
