I no longer have to wear special shoes.” Toyah Willcox bravely shared her journey to recovery, saying, “It took me two months to learn to walk again.” In a candid 2011 interview, the iconic singer previously revealed she achieved “full mobility for the first time” following surgery, which revolutionised her stage presence. Opening up to the Daily Mail, Toyah discussed her congenital condition, explaining that she was born with “shallow hip sockets” and uneven leg lengths, which affected her ability to move freely. Toyah reflected on the life-changing surgery with the publication, confessing: “In the past two years my right hip became a nightmare so I had a replacement. I had to use crutches and learn to walk again, but it transformed my life.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
