Spirits were high as each celeb discovered their professional dance partner, with everyone seemingly thrilled with the outcome. However, the atmosphere might not be as perfect as it seems according to body language expert Darren Stanton. Commissioned by Betfair Bingo, Darren singled out Jamie Borthwick from EastEnders and his pro partner Michelle Tsiakkas, suggesting their partnership might lack a certain spark.

How Strictly Come Dancing’s Chris McCausland lost his sight aged 22 – and what he can still see

He suggested: “Jamie Borthwick is one of the other weakest. I think he tries to cover his nerves with humour and sarcasm. I don’t feel these two have a great connection, I don’t really see it.” Stanton continued, highlighting potential issues in the duo’s rapport: “There’s a bit of bravado there, but that’s part of his nature perhaps as an actor. I do fear he’s not willing to give his all to the process and that affects the relationship dynamic and body language, as well as feeling comfortable doing certain things. I don’t think the connection with Michelle is as strong. We aren’t seeing matching and mirroring or tactile moments.”, reports the Mirror.

Despite Jamie and JLS heartthrob JB Gill both being past Christmas champions, there are whispers suggesting a shortage of celebs. A comment came through saying: “So two of the celebrities this year have already won the Christmas special, are we running out of celebs now.” Yet many are eagerly eyeing up this year’s ones-to-watch, with one fan gushing: “Celebrities to look out for in my opinion Pete Wicks, JB Gill, Sarah Hadland, Tasha Ghouri, Jamie Borthwick (Christmas Winner) and Sam Quek… Already have a soft spot for Chris McCausland he seems like a really great man who will make this season more special.” Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC OneStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
