Privacy NoticeBBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood left her co-stars Dan Walker and Louise Minchin in awe when she shared a throwback photo of herself from the 1980s. Dan encouraged viewers to share their own ’80s snaps, and a picture of Carol suddenly appeared on the screen behind him. “You look like a movie star, Carol. Look at that,” Dan gushed, while Louise added: “You look amazing. Look at those sparkling eyes, you look fabulous! ” A slightly embarrassed Carol responded: “Check out the wallpaper [and those] big chops, look at those big chops.” The flashback snap, which was shown on the programme in 2016, saw Carol sporting a red sequinned hairband and diamond earrings. Her brunette locks were pulled back to highlight her stunning facial features, complemented by a generous layer of makeup including mascara, bold eyeliner and a slick of pink lipgloss. I get to Broadcasting House, which is the headquarters of BBC in London, by 4am. Carol then explained that she also travels to the BBC in Salford Quays, Manchester once a week. “I check the studios are working, then I start building what we call my show.” Waking up isn’t the only wholesome thing the couple do together, as the presenter revealed they go for long walks. Carol, who is also a writer, releasing her latest book, Once upon a Time in Venice explained how she also has the time to write alongside her busy career and early starts, explaining how she only works four days a week. “I write on Fridays and at the weekends,” she says explaining how she started the new career when approached by a publishing agent, with the help of husband Steve. “I discuss ideas with Steve when we go for long walks,” she said.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
