The pair, both seasoned antiques experts, were on a mission to turn a profit from hidden gems found in antique shops while journeying across the UK. This time, they were spotted touring Scotland in a classic 1948 Chevrolet pickup, with scenes capturing them amidst the idyllic British countryside, complete with cows and scenic views, reports The Express. However, fans at home sensed something was off. Taking to Twitter, one viewer questioned: “Why are the driving scenes from a green screen? Aren’t you allowed to drive it? ”

Another fan commented: “The driving scenes are so amateur. Why the change? It’s so bad I find it so annoying.” With a third chimed in, saying: “The driving scenes look so fake.” In a different episode, tensions rose when presenters Raj Bisram and Charles Hanson had a tiff over driving styles. As they headed to their next stop, Charles commented on Raj’s driving posture, suggesting he sat “quite far forward”. Raj interpreted this as a dig at his “short legs”, leading Charles to jokingly propose that Raj could wear shoes with thicker soles or even “get some stilts”.

Raj snapped back, clearly annoyed: “This is a campervan, why don’t you just get in the back and have a lie down?” Charles voiced his worry about Raj’s driving, prompting Raj to return fire: “It’s bad enough when you’re driving!” Tim Wonnacott, stepping in as narrator, tried to cool things down with a touch of humour, reassuring viewers: “Don’t be fooled, they love each other really”, and then chided the pair like mischievous kids: “Now, now children. Settle down.” Antiques Road Trip is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
