Privacy NoticeAnt McPartlin is over the moon since becoming a dad, revealing that fatherhood has made his life better than ever. The 48 year old TV favourite and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, welcomed their little bundle of joy, a son, in May. Ant’s first foray into fatherhood has filled him with pure joy. Opening up about his new role as a dad, he shared: “I’m really good, I’m really happy. There are lots of nappies and sleepless nights but it’s absolutely wonderful. “I’m loving it. It’s been the best year.” To navigate the challenges of parenting, Ant has been getting advice from his on-screen partner Dec Donnelly, already a father of two, reports the Daily Star.

Ant praised his pal, saying: “Dec has been very good, he’s given me some good advice.” However, Dec, 48, humorously confessed that his advice isn’t always helpful. He quipped: “I do share tips and things. They’re very bad. My tips are normally: give the baby to somebody else! That’s it.” Ant’s personal life has seen a remarkable turnaround following his past struggles with painkiller addiction. After hitting a low point between 2015 and 2019, which led to a hiatus from television, Ant has bounced back and is now prepping for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity.

With plans to fly to Australia next month alongside Dec for show rehearsals, Ant expressed his excitement: “We’ve enjoyed having a break this summer. We’ve been busy. “We look forward to doing I’m A Celebrity. It’s getting cold now, so it’s time for a trip to Australia and some winter sun. Teasing what’s to come on the show, he added: “I know a bit about the series. I’ve been chatting to some people and I know some names. They’re really good. I’m really happy.” Ant and his best mate Dec bagged the Best Presenter Award at the National Television Awards (NTAs) for an impressive 23rd consecutive year on Wednesday night (September 11). The dynamic duo first clinched this prestigious award back in 2001.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
