Privacy Notice Amanda Abbington has been spotted making a bold statement amidst the controversy with her former Strictly Come Dancing partner, Giovanni Pernice. It comes after the Italian dancer appeared to throw shade at the actress during a performance on stage. On Sunday (21 July) night, while performing at The Lowry in Salford, Giovanni, 33 declared, “Oh, I will be back, don’t you worry,” and then quipped: “Let’s see what this mad woman has got to say next.” While he didn’t mention any names, many believe it to be linked to Amanda who made allegations against Giovanni and described his behaviour as “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean”.

Meanwhile, Amanda was seen wearing a jumper with the slogan: “You’re only as cool as you treat people.” The bold message was emblazoned across her chest as she stepped out for the first time since her explosive revelations about Giovanni, reports the Mirror. The mother of two, who was snapped on her way to theatre rehearsals in London, is said to be urging other celebs to seek legal advice over their own experiences on Strictly Come Dancing. Giovanni has denied her allegations, while the BBC is expected to conclude their probe into her claims within the week. The Sherlock star had previously reported to the BBC that she suffered five weeks of unacceptable conduct from Giovanni during the last series of the show, which led to her exit and subsequent PTSD diagnosis. “I found Giovanni’s behaviour unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean. I couldn’t sit back and let him do that to other people,” she disclosed to The Sun.

It wasn’t an isolated experience with me. I should never ever have danced with him. I know what is on those tapes and I am not frightened of those tapes being seen. It goes way beyond treading on my toe. I know what happened and the fact he is blocking the tapes says a lot.” Giovanni has firmly denied all allegations made against him and is determined to clear his name. The Mirror revealed Giovanni has reportedly told friends he expects to be cleared by the BBC of any allegations of abusive behaviour. The professional dancer had a sit-down with the BBC recently where he was presented with the findings of their inquiry, which involved months of gathering statements from witnesses.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
