Broadcaster, presenter, and professionally trained opera singer Wynne Evans has joined the line-up. He said: “I am honestly still pinching myself, a portly balding opera singer, me, taking part in Strictly Come Dancing?! I’m not entirely sure how I’ll get along, if all else fails I’ll just have to learn the art of distraction. “What I do know is I will give it my all and aim to make Wales proud. I’m definitely going to try and combine my love of Opera into one of my routines. Eighties star Toyah Willcox is the fourth celebrity to compete for the famous glitterball trophy. Speaking on Vernon Kay’s BBC Radio 2 show on Tuesday 6 August, Toyah said it was her dream come true to appear on Strictly, for an unusual reason. “I played Glastonbury this year, I became a pensioner, and now I will be getting a regular spray tan,” she said. She admitted that it has been hard keeping the secret, especially when she has been on tour with other eighties acts. “I lied to Carol Decker [of T’Pau fame], I lied to Paul Young, I didn’t tell anyone I was doing Strictly,” she said.
