Privacy NoticeAlison Hammond has proved she’s a woman of many talents as she made a surprise appearance at Camp Bestival Dorset on Saturday evening (July 27) to support son Aidan for his debut festival set. Aidan took to the Bollywood tent of the well known festival as he entertained fans with one hour of infectious beats and non stop tunes and a surprise appearance from his mother, This Morning presenter Alison, which surely went down a treat with fans. In pictures from the event, the 49-year-old could be seen having the time of her life as she took the mic in the tent whilst looking stylish in a straw hat and a blue shirt.

The proud mum took to her Instagram stories to document the day, sharing videos of performances, as well as selfies with her son. In April, it was announced Aidan would be making his DJ debut at the Dorset festival, as they teased he could be joined by a “special surprise guest” as he took to the decks. “He’ll be DJ’ing in the legendary Bollywood tent on Saturday night and is rumoured to have a ‘special surprise guest’ joining him too….” the festival teased at the time. Aidan’s performance at the festival comes two months after he was admitted to hospital for tonsillectomy.

Alison kept fans updated on his recovery via Instagram, as she gushed over her “poor baby”. However, in true Alison fashion, the mother and son duo could be seen joking around in hospital, as Aiden said he “felt great.” “Dunno what all the fuss is about really. It’s fine!” he said whilst wearing a hospital gown. Alison, shares Aidan, 19, with her ex-husband Noureddine Boufaied. The huge day out for the former Big Brother star comes after she announced she was taking a break from presenting This Morning. On Thursday, (July 25) Alison told ITV viewers that she was going on holiday, as she joked: “Alison needs a break,” as co-host Dermot O’Leary playfully responded: “We all need a break.” Alison then addressed the audience, as she joked: “Even YOU need a break from me.” The Birmingham born presenter has become a fan favourite, as the announcement sparked worry amongst viewers on social media, as they feared the star was ‘leaving for good’.
