Privacy NoticeA Place In The Sun’s beloved host Scarlette Douglas graced the Sunday Brunch set on Channel 4, where she spilled the beans about her latest venture. The 37 year old TV star was in conversation with Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy about her new show, The Worst House On The Street, when the topic shifted to her dynamics with her co-host, who is also her brother. Scarlette, who will be sharing the screen with her sibling, a former professional footballer, piqued the curiosity of the Sunday Brunch hosts, leading them to probe into the siblings’ on-screen chemistry. Tim enquired, “How’s your relationship?” prompting laughter from the duo as Stuart admitted: “We love each other extremely well but I do get told off a lot.” Scarlette didn’t shy away from confirming his words, chiming in with, “I do tell him off quite a bit,” reports the Mirror.

In the debut episode of The Worst House On The Street, the pair visit Croydon, London, to assist Harry and Yimika, a couple of young professionals struggling with their run-down terraced home. With asbestos throwing a wrench in their renovation plans, the overwhelmed couple were at a loss until Scarlette and Stuart stepped in to dispense crucial advice, ensuring the project stayed within budget. Last year, Scarlette made the tough call to leave her presenting role on A Place In The Sun after a seven-year stint, ready to embark on new challenges. Taking to Instagram with a clip of her best on-screen moments, she revealed: “Well after 7 long years, my final ever episode of A Place in the Sun is out today at 3pm! “It’s been a journey of ups and downs but my goodness have I enjoyed every minute of being in that sunshine and helping amazing couples find their dream homes!”

Earlier this year, Scarlette, 37, began documenting the process of freezing her eggs on social media, explaining that she is doing it to “protect my future offspring”. In a March update, she was left in tears as she celebrated her 37th birthday and revealed how she didn’t think she would be turning 37 without children or a partner. “I feel emotional today for many reasons, probably. Hormones being one, but also, I didn’t think I would be 37 and not have a partner, not be engaged, not be married, not have kids. So I think all of that is getting on top of me a little bit today,” she began. The TV personality added that while she was “unbelievably grateful” for everything she did have in her life, she thought she’d be “a mummy by now”. She added: “Don’t get me wrong, I’m unbelievably grateful for everything that I have in my life… for my family, for my friends, my house, my security, my work, all of that I’m so grateful. “But I also definitely thought I would have been a mummy by now, and I’m looking at my tummy like yeah, it’s a lot. So, for anyone who is going through this out there, I want you to know that you’re not alone. Hence me doing this whole diary.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
