Away from the small screen, 32 year old Richard is a doting father to two beautiful daughters whom he shares with his wife Gaby – they’ve been happily married since 2011. Their first bundle of joy, Hope Blossom, arrived shortly after their nuptials, while Honour Willow made them a family-of-four. In 2016, Ben and Gaby purchased a beautiful 1934 four-bedroom house in Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex, and set about renovating it into their “forever” family home, complete with a wraparound extension, and a new, larger kitchen. According to Ben, he and Gaby were able to make frugal swaps when it came to decorating, saving them thousands. The TV star labels the girls his top priority in life, and occasionally posts pictures of them having fun together on Instagram. Back in September last year, the presenter shared an endearing post of himself enjoying some time and the beach with his daughters and wife, captioning it: “Enjoying a thoroughly British evening on the beach, and the perfect end to a wonderful summer break with the family. Back to the old grind tomorrow and beginning my endless summer in Portugal. ”

Another picture was taken with just one of his daughters earlier this year, which Ben simply captioned: “Pastel skies at night, designers delight!” The family also clearly enjoys their own time in the sun, with Ben often posting beautiful images from places far and wide. On Mother’s Day in March this year, he added a slew of pictures of his wife and mum. Showing the family standing at the top of a hilly street, as well as relaxing at home and smiling in a variety of other outdoor locations, they were captioned: “Here’s to two of the most epic mama’s this world has ever known, I wish I could be with you both today XXX. #mothersday.”

After raising curiosity about an Instagram picture that featured him alone on a trip without his family shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic, he urged his followers to cut him some slack, explaining he was on a solo trip abroad. Chatting with Wayne Perrey on his TV Carpenter Podcast, Ben revealed how his wife coped with homeschooling while he was away. He shared: “You’ve got to remember I’ve spent six months at home homeschooling so that was my first break. See the difference is, my wife works for the NHS and she has throughout the whole pandemic.” Lucy Alexander was recently revealed as a new presenter on A Place In The Sun, while Laura Hamilton has found romance following the break-up of her marriage.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
