Privacy NoticeSince joining Casualty in 2020, Tom Mulheron’s character, Luka Malinovsky, has been involved in some dark storylines. From a terrifying kidnap to a brain tumour diagnosis, it hasn’t been an easy time for Luka. More recently, he’s been cruelly targeted by bullies, leaving him too scared to go to school. And in Saturday’s episode, 31 August, viewers will see him standing up for himself – with catastrophic results. Away from the BBC drama, actor Tom, 13, has starred in a number of other TV shows including Slow Horses, Inside No. 9 and Black Mirror. He played Tommy in the 2017 USS Callister episode of the hit Netflix show.

He first made his acting debut in action movie The Lost City of Z in 2016, playing three-year-old child Jack Fawcett. He then went on to appear in The Last Vermeer in 2016, starring as Finn. He’s also appeared in several feature films, and recently revealed he will be jetting off to Croatia next month to spend seven weeks filming his next one. Off screen, Tom shares snippets of his life on Instagram, where he promotes his acting career and posts selfies and family photos. He clearly has a close bond with his two older sisters, often sharing snaps of them out and about together. One throwback pic shows them on a ski trip together as he wrote alongside: “Love my sisters. Flashback to 10 years ago.” Another shows them at a red carpet event, which he captioned: “Cannot wait for my second red carpet event with my best sisters in the world!” In his spare time, Tom enjoys rugby and often shares snaps of him playing the sport. In one photo, he can be seen proudly holding a medal after being awarded player of the year. He wrote in the caption: “For the second year coaches rugby player of the year truly grateful #rugby #captain #schoolrugby.” A second sees him on the pitch celebrating another win, writing alongside: “Rugby shield winners.”
