Privacy NoticeLauryn Goodman appeared on This Morning today for an interview with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, where she said that she has no regrets over her affair with footballer. As This Morning’s Cat Deeley and Ben returned to our screens this Monday, they discussed with Lauryn her recent legal battle with her Manchester City ex Kyle. Lauryn, 33, and the England pro had an emotionally charged court hearing over child support payments during the summer, which made headlines after the judge lifted the reporting ban that usually applies to all Family Court hearings. However, during her chat with Cat and Ben, the Celebs Go Dating star said she didn’t have any regrets.

“I can’t say I have any [regrets] because my children are my world. They wouldn’t be here…” she told the presenting duo. When asked what she planned to tell her children about her relationship with their dad, she said: “I didn’t know I was going to have a second child, I will just have to navigate it day by day. “I’ve got the easy story because his dad goes away and watch football. I will always have to tell them the truth but not right now.” She also expressed hope for more amicable terms for the sake of their two children – Kairo, four, and Kinara, one – especially as the older sibling is starting to ask questions about his famous dad. “It’s been quite difficult emotionally, it’s been really difficult to handle”, she said. She also confirmed that she’ll be appearing on Celebs Go Dating this Wednesday, September 4, reports the Mirror. Lauryn also told Cat and Ben that she had known Kyle for “over a decade”, having met through mutual friends and her sister, Chloe Goodman, with whom she reportedly hasn’t been on great terms.

Obviously because Kairo asks a lot about his dad and he formed that bond with him. It’s just trying to navigate that as best you can.” Her appearance on the ITV show comes after Lauryn faced a legal setback when her substantial financial requests were rejected by the Family Court judge. Her demands included a luxury £70,000 Mercedes car, a £33,000 air-conditioning unit, and £31,000 worth of Astroturf. She was accused in court by Kyle’s legal team of treating the footballer like an “open-ended chequebook.” In a candid statement in court, Kyle expressed his desperation to maintain peace and protect his marriage to his wife Annie Kilner, with whom he shares four young boys. “I’m not going to say I was over a barrel or someone had a gun to my head. She had a detonator. For me it was about keeping the peace just so my wife doesn’t find out. This is a woman who has had a lot of media attention over the last couple of months.”

Shortly after the hearing, a source told OK! that Annie and Kyle were living separately but close by, and were “very much co-parenting together while they work on their own issues as a couple separately”. After the court’s verdict, Lauryn issued her own statement and said: “This has only ever been about the children and providing for their futures. I am a dedicated single mother and whilst my children will never have what their half siblings have, I have tried my best for my children and always will, no matter what.” She continued, “Thanks to my legal team and the judge’s decision, my children’s childhood is secure and I will now focus on building a solid future for them so as to provide for the time when the children’s home reverts back to their father. I look forward to enjoying every moment with my children and the three of us being able get on with our lives.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
