Privacy NoticeKelsey Parker has reached out to Cheryl with a touching message after the singer shared a heart-wrenching post about her son Bear’s loss. Cheryl opened up about the pain of her seven year old having to come to terms with never seeing his father again. Kelsey, who tragically lost her husband Tom Parker of The Wanted to brain cancer at just 33, understands the agony of raising children in such devastating circumstances. She and Tom shared two young children, daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi. And in response to the news of Liam Payne’s untimely passing at 31, Kelsey offered her support to Cheryl by posting a poignant poem on Instagram Story from the perspective of a child mourning their father.

The emotional verse read: “Dear daddy, you told me that you always be watching me from the sky. Today I am here looking for the most shiniest star that would be you looking at me. Daddy if I could have one wish it would be to have you here with me, to tell you how much I miss you, to tell you what a great daddy you were and to wish that you would never leave me again. I love you daddy.” Additionally, Kelsey, also 33, discussed the painful loss on her podcast ‘Mum’s The Word’ with co-host TV presenter Georgie Thompson, where she remembered Liam as a “good soul” who was supportive during Tom’s illness, and expressed her sympathies to Liam’s loved ones and his son Bear, reports the Mirror. She shared: “When Tom got sick it really resonated with Liam and he reached out, he was really there for Tom – we did this whole massive gig for Stand Up To Cancer and we raised over a million pounds and Liam actually came and performed at that.” “And when Tom passed Liam came to Tom’s funeral and, you know, when you just think about someone ‘you’re a good soul’ – he didn’t need to come to Tom’s funeral. He felt that he needed to be there he was so supportive, he always used to reach out to me, ‘Kels I can see that you’re doing so well’. He always checked in.”

After the tragic news of Liam’s passing, Cheryl released a touching statement, which Kelsey shared to her Instagram story alongside broken heart emojis. She expressed: “As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being. Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.” The hitmaker continued, saying: “What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future.” “I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces. Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last. Thank you, Cheryl.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
