Privacy Notice During Wednesday’s edition of her morning show, 4 September, Lorraine Kelly was taken aback when she received an unexpected update from a Royal family member. Lorraine was told by Royal editor Russell Myers that they had received a communication from someone quite special. A confused Lorraine responded, “You’ve got an update, now, I’m not sure what this is about because I don’t know. The Duchess of York, what’s she saying?”. Myers excitedly replied, “Well I do! This is a bit of a world exclusive actually. We know Fergie, a friend of the show, always spreading joy and cheer wherever she goes. She had a very special message that she wants everybody to see.”

The screen then switched to a pre-recorded video showing a smiling Sarah Ferguson standing outside, keen to convey her heartfelt message to Lorraine. Sarah exclaimed: “Yaay, this is incredible! You are part of the Granny club, well done Lorraine. I’m so proud of you and I’m longing to see you soon and give you a big hug”, reports the Mirror. She continued, “Of course, sending you one little children’s book for your lovely lovely new grandchild. Well done indeed.” “I’m so thrilled for you. I wonder if you’ll be called GG or Granny? Or Hmm, lovely Lorraine? No, I think Granny. Welcome to the Granny club, lots of love see you soon!” Caught off-guard, Lorraine couldn’t help but laugh, visibly moved by the message acknowledging the new arrival in her family.

After the clip, Lorraine expressed her thanks to the Duchess, endearingly referring to her as delightful. The host gushed: “She is a hoot and she lives in her own wee world and it’s quite a good world I think.” During her chat with Russell, Lorraine shared that she’s chosen the name Granny for herself. Lorraine’s daughter Rosie has recently given birth to a baby girl named Billie Kelly Smith-White. While discussing her new granddaughter on Good Morning Britain earlier this week, Lorraine couldn’t hide her joy. She exclaimed: “It’s just, it’s brilliant! Everybody said to me you won’t believe how much you’ll love this little tiny thing and of course you do, but it’s amazing to see your own child having a wee baby.” “It’s just lovely, it’s wonderful.
