Privacy NoticeOur Yorkshire Farm stars Clive and Amanda Owen have revealed that they are living as a two-house family, after separating last year. Shepherdess Amanda, 50, and farmer Clive, 69, were married for 22 years before announcing their split in 2022 – but the stars of the hit Channel 5 show are now co-parenting by living in separate homes, they have revealed. The show followed the couple and their nine children, Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy, as they battled the seasons to run their remote farm, Ravenseat, in the Yorkshire Dales. But, after five hit seasons, the couple chose not to continue filming due to the change to their family, they explained – and even cited the TV show as a major reason for their breakup.

Instead of living together on the farm, Amanda now lives in the family’s nearby holiday let, with the children moving between the two homes as they wish, telling The Daily Mail: “We both agreed we were better apart than together with the children spending time in either home as they wished.” Amanda said: “I was trying to be everything to everyone, and it was exhausting… To get away from the atmosphere, I would go to our nearby holiday let… I soon realised I was so much calmer spending time apart from Clive – we both were – and so I began to spend more and more time there.” She explained that finding fame through TV appearances and speaking opportunities drove the couple apart, adding: “Clive never liked me being away from the farm, and that led to arguments. I would return home not knowing what to expect or what his reaction would be. I’d feel the tension in the air and await the explosion.”

Son of Amanda and Clive, Reuben, has gone on to become a TV star in his own right.

He’s my confidant and he will now listen to my worries and I his.” In fact, their split is now so amicable that the ex-couple have bought an old farmhouse and will restore it together in a new TV series. Clive said going through their split in the public eye was “tough” but “who knows what the next chapter will hold”. A lot has changed since the family’s last TV appearance – and not just with Amanda and Clive. The children of the show have also grown up, with some even becoming stars in their own right – Reuben Owen appeared in a miniseries spinof f, Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive, with dad Clive Owen.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
