Privacy Notice Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha didn’t hold back on a recent episode of the ITV show when she hit out against a co-star’s habits, claiming that they had “a problem”. During Thursday, 5 September’s episode of Loose Women the panellists, Nadia, Kaye Adams, GK Barry and Frankie Bridge, discussed the idea of banning phones from restaurants – causing a heated debate to erupt. As part of the segment, the group looked into how one bistro had banned the use of mobile phones a year ago – a move which had led to more diners ordering from the dessert menu, so they could extend their stay and continue their conversations.

Beginning the discussion, GK Barry explained how her phone was “a security thing” for her and that she wouldn’t like it if someone was to take it away. “God forbid if someone took my phone, because I just feel like if something bad happens, at least my phone’s there and I’ll know straight away. It’s a security thing for me,” she said. In response, Nadia, 59, shared her opinions on the matter. “The thing is, I think where it goes wrong is we think it will make us less anxious but actually it’s anxiety that’s making us have the phone there.” However, following her statement, co-star Kaye, 61, replied that she had “got a cheek” and that Nadia had “always got your bloomin’ phone!”. The statement didn’t go down too well with Nadia, who added: “Kaye Adams – do not, do not. Can we phone Jane? She’s in Barcelona.”

In disbelief, Nadia pointed her finger at Kaye and admitted that she was “100% a phone addict”, though called out her co-star for her behaviour too. “100% I admit it – but you have a problem in restaurants with your phone. When we’re having dinner, me and Jane never have our phone out,” she explained. As the debate unfolded, former The Saturdays star Frankie joked: “Hold her back, hold her back” as she reached out towards Kaye, who told Nadia: “You’ve got a cheek.” Nadia then opened up about the time that she and Kaye appeared on The Celebrity Circle in 2021 and claimed that Kaye was “foaming at the mouth” when they took her phone away from her for seven days.

In response to the claim, Kaye joked: “She’s imagining that. Call my lawyer, this is absolutely terrible.” The debate comes as popular panellist Jane McDonald revealed that she was heading back on the show following a decade-long break. “Looking forward to joining the Loose Women next Friday 6th September for a good gossip about everything I’ve got coming up!!,” she wrote in a social media post.
