And as usual, in most of the Instagram snaps the star was posting, her flowing waist-length hair was styled in iconic mermaid waves. But if you’ve ever wondered what the star might look like if she chopped those lengths off then you’re in for a treat as Molly-Mae has just posted a short hair transformation – and it’s a far cry from her usual voluminous style. “I cut my hair short for one night. Don’t ask questions,” the star captioned the gorgeous snap.

We DO have questions though. Has she taken out her Beauty Works bond extensions and given her hair a break? Or has she been wearing clip-ins while she’s been on holiday and chosen to ditch them for one night only? Molly-Mae might just elaborate soon as it seems she wasn’t expecting quite so much attention for her hair change.

“The comments on my latest pic are confusing me,” she said on her Instagram stories – clearly responding to a host of celeb friends and followers who raved about her new style. “Short hair is so classy,” model and Love Islander Zara McDermott said. Others like TOWIE’s Amber Turner simply responded with heart-eye emojis. But the hair transformation isn’t all the 21-year-old treated fans to as she also posted a three-part ad video showing how she keeps her blonde hair looking clean and free from brassiness.

If you watched Molly-Mae on the 2019 Love Island series then you’ll know she quickly gained social attention for how she miraculously managed to keep her blonde hair so clean and fresh-looking, despite spending weeks in the sunshine. Her secret? The Beauty Works Anti-Yellow Gift Set, £14.99 here, which features a purple-toning shampoo and a five-minute brass banisher hair mask.

The star first applies the shampoo to damp lengths, rinses it out, then applies the mask to her mid-lengths and ends. She lets that sit for five minutes before washing off. Molly-Mae finishes by combing through some of her “favourite” Beauty Works Argan Serum, £11.99 here, through her straight un-styled lengths.
