The 32 year old reality star faced the daunting challenge, which is designed to test military personnel’s head for heights and parachuting readiness. Recounting the terrifying moment, Marnie confessed: “I still thought there was a chance I could die on that trainasium, even though I know it’s a Channel 4 show. I still thought I could be an unlucky person who dies!”. She went on to describe the sheer terror of the task, saying: “What was horrible about that task is the thing [wire] is attached to our backs so you can not feel it at all.”

Marnie explained the lack of physical reassurance made the ordeal worse: “If I had felt like a slight tug, I would have been a little more secure but I could not feel anything. So it just felt like I was walking across this plank and I did not like the feeling of having no support.” Despite the intense fear, the Durham-born celeb shared that the thrill of the challenge was too tempting to pass up, reports the Mirror. She is among the 15 stars braving the sixth series of the intense Channel 4 programme, where participants are put through extreme tests by ex-SAS operatives. The series, which was shot last year in New Zealand, graces our screens this Sunday, September 22, with new episodes airing every Sunday and Monday. The line-up includes John Barrowman, TOWIE’s Pete Wicks – currently on Strictly, Olympic hero Ellie Downie, former boxing champ Anthony Ogogo, Bianca Gascoigne, and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s sister, Rachel.

Marnie added: “I think because I’ve always enjoyed watching the show and it’s one of my favourites that it was definitely at the top of the list of things that I wanted to challenge myself with.” She confessed: “It was just always something that I wanted to see if I would be able to do but it is probably the most difficult reality show that I have ever been in.” The reality TV star, who has Rox, four, and Oax, one, with hubby Casey Johnson – who she married last year, opened up about the trials of motherhood compared to the show: “Childbirth and pregnancy, that is definitely up there. The stress of parenthood is really intense but I think apart from health problems and stuff, nothing comes close to how hard this experience was.” Describing the daunting start to their journey, Marnie revealed: “When we first started, they got us off the bus and put the bags over our heads and were making us march. That set the scary tone. From that moment, I was just like ‘We do not know what is going to happen. Anything can occur’.”

Teasing her 5.6 million followers earlier this month, Marnie shared a sneak peek of the gruelling conditions they faced, writing: “Freezing temperatures and extreme heights were definitely some of the hardest challenges I’ve had to face.” The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant opened up about her struggles, revealing: “I was just not physically prepared at all – not in the slightest. I’d had a baby 11 months prior by C-section and then I also had a breast uplift. So I literally went in there three weeks after surgery, and after a C-section.
