Who are Michelle Keegan’s parents? Former Corie star Michelle, also 37, hails from Stockport in Greater Manchester, and is the daughter of Jacqueline and Michael Keegan. On social media, it’s clear that Michael holds a strong bond with his daughter and son-in-law Mark. Her dad is English and her maternal grandmother hails from Gibraltar, giving Michelle her Spanish heritage. Back in 2021, Michelle paid tribute to her dad and wrote alongside a series of snaps: “Happy Fathers Dad @pips1566.

“When I’m at my best I’m my father’s daughter. I feel very lucky to call you my dad. Love you.” One photo saw Michelle as a baby in her dad’s arms, while another of the pair at a fancy event. On International Women’s Day, the actress also paid tribute to her mum as she celebrated the strong women in her life. Her mum is now married to Dave Thornton, Michelle’s step-dad, who the TV star has also paid tribute to. Sharing a snap with her mum and step-dad she wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to my step-dad. Thank you for everything you do for our family.” Other than the rare posts, Michelle tends to keep her family out of the spotlight, but there’s no denying she shares a close bond with her loved ones.

Does the actress have siblings? Yes, Michelle has a younger brother, Andrew Keegan who is thought to be a school deputy headteacher. A few years back, Michelle paid tribute to her younger brother as he turned 30. She wrote: “Happy 30th birthday to my brother @rookeegs Growing up I always thought I had your back cause I was your ‘big sister’ but really you always had mine. Thank you for being the other half of me. Proud of you in every way. X”

Fans have often commented on how much the siblings look alike on snaps Michelle has previously posted. On one photo, a fan wrote: “@michkeegan you and your brother look so alike.” “My god your parents are blessed,” wrote another while others pointed out they looked like twins. Andrew has a private Instagram account which boasts over 12K followers.
